SCAM ALERT

Please be aware of a recent report from an Essex Surgery where one of their patients has been contacted by someone claiming to be from the GMC wanting to update their records and asking about Covid vaccine and side effects.

The GMC would never call patients to update their medical record or ask patients about their Covid vaccination. Please do not pick up calls or share personal details from this number +44 7897 074386 – it is a scam

Test Results (Blood, X-ray etc.)

It is your responsibility to contact the surgery to find out the results of tests.

Please telephone 01277 227711 and choose option 3 between 8.00am– 2pm Monday - Friday.

Please allow two weeks between your test and calling for the result as it can take up to 2 weeks for some results to come through.

On contacting the surgery you will be advised whether your test is normal or abnormal and whether it is necessary for you to see or speak to your doctor.

X-ray results are currently taking up to 6 weeks to be sent to the surgery.

Text Messages

On reviewing your test results, if you have consented to SMS messages, your GP will send you a text message informing you of the result and any action you need to take.

Please note each test will have its own message and it is quite common for patients to have several different tests all from the same blood sample, which may be reviewed at different times as and when the results are received by the surgery.

If you require a repeat test or some other non urgent contact your text message will say that we will contact you presently, this could be within the following 2 weeks and will not necessarily be the same day.

Urgent appointments

For results requiring an urgent appointment, patients will be contacted and the appointment booked according to the doctor's instructions.

Online Access

If you are registered for on-line services and you have access to view your medical record you can see and print out your test results, it will inform you if you need to speak or see your doctor.
