FLU information sheet to be read prior to attending appointment

Update - Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak we have had to make changes to the way we operate: Please see below .

 

Our doors are now closed, you should only come to the surgery if you have been requested to attend an appointment by a nurse or a doctor.

 

If you have symptoms associated with coronavirus, including a new continuous cough or a high temperature.and your symptoms are serious, or get worse, NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service that can tell you if you need further medical help and advise you what to do.

 

Only call NHS 111 direct if you cannot go online, or are advised to do so by the online service.

End of FAX machine use in General practice - The Tile House Surgery will cease to use a fax machine with effect from 31/03/2020. This is to enhance data security and also to support the NHS Paper Switch-Off programme (PSO). Any queries regarding this statement are to be directed to the Practice Manager.

Dr Indrakumar will be on maternity leave from the 23rd December 2019 until late 2020, Dr Haq will be looking after her patients in her absence.

 Car Park Barrier - The barrier will be open during normal Surgery hours; 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 11.30am on Saturdays. If your car is in the car park outside of these times you will be able to exit the car park but not enter, however, it is your responsibility to ensure that your car is not left in the car park outside of our normal opening hours as we do not accept any liability if your car is in the car park and we have a barrier electrical failure outside of our normal opening hours.

Gluten Free Food Prescriptions

Test Results (Blood, X-ray etc.)

It is your responsibility to contact the surgery to find out the results of tests.

Please telephone 01277 227711 and choose option 3 between 8.00am– 12.00pm Monday - Friday.

Please allow two weeks between your test and calling for the result as it can take up to 2 weeks for some results to come through.

On contacting the surgery you will be advised whether your test is normal or abnormal and whether it is necessary for you to see or speak to your doctor.

Text Messages

On reviewing your test results, if you have consented to SMS messages, your GP will send you a text message informing you of the result and any action you need to take. 

Please note each test will have its own message and it is quite common for patients to have several different tests all from the same blood sample, which may be reviewed at different times as and when the results are received by the surgery.

Urgent appointments

For results requiring an urgent appointment, patients will be contacted by telephone by reception and the appointment booked according to the doctor's instructions.

Online Access

If you are registered for on-line services and you have access to view your medical record you can see and print out your test results, it will inform you if you need to speak or see your doctor.
