Practice Nurses - Treatment Room

Our practice nurses undertake a variety of nursing duties, they offer travel vaccinations and run diabetic clinics, cervical smear's, flu and other specialist clinics.

Our Nurses no longer undertake Ear Irrigation procedures, along with many other GP practices in the UK, as ear irrigation can cause complications such as ear infections, perforation of the ear drum & tinnitus (persistent noise), please download our Microsuction Leaflet for further information.

District Nurses & Health Visitors

The district nurse and health visitor teams work in co-operation with the surgery to provide community care to patients. 

The district nurses provide home nursing services mainly for the elderly, the housebound and chronically sick. The

Health visitors usually work with families and young children.

Child Development Clinics

Dr Indrakumar is the surgery's nominated lead for Child Protection. Dr Aung and Dr Natarajan carry out 8 week baby checks. Attendance is by prior appointment.

Minor Surgery

We undertake certain minor surgery procedures, including, joint injections, excision of lumps and toe nail removal, please contact the surgery for more details.

Family planning

A full range of family planning services are provided. Dr Rahman and Dr Hirani fit IUCDs and Implanon. This is by appointment only. 

The Hub

There are now more appointments with GP`s and Nurses available in Brentwood, making it easier for you to get an appointment at a time that suits you in the evenings and weekends. For more information please click here to view their patient leaflet. 

Travel Vaccinations

If you're planning to travel outside the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world.

 

Non-NHS Services

Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges.

Midwifery Services

If you have a positive pregnancy test you can refer yourself to a hospital of your choice for your maternity care. Basildon Hospital, Broomfield Hospital or Queens Hospital.
